January 2004 Catholic & Shamanic Ceremonies to Bless our Pig-sty (during Fiesta time)

Step one: a simple Catholic service is held by the local priest,
using holy water, incense and candles, to bring blessings and
drive away evil spiritual influences.
Step two: a traditional Vissayan shamanic ceremony is
conducted by Lou's Mom to propriate, honor and feed the
local earth spirits. This is how the table was set up, with
glasses of coconut wine and plates of rice surrounding a
Lechon (spit roast native piglet). I was not permitted to take
photos of the ceremony itself... but I can report that it contains
fascinating similarities to what is done in Korean shamanism...
