Ceremony to inaugurate the new Shrine for the Neo-Confucian scholar "Seong-jae"
(d.1894) -- Student of "Hwaseo" Yi Hang-no, Teacher of "Uiam" Yu In-seok (who was the
teacher of the teacher of the elders gathered here) -- in Gajeong-ri, near the Hongcheon River
in Gwacheon-myeon (near Chuncheon City of Gangwon-do Province), on October 9th, 1989.

getting underway

Tomb of the Neo-Confucian scholar and Patriot "Uiam" Yu In-seok
(grand-teacher of Song-heon and his comrades) -- near the Hongcheon River in
Gwacheon-myeon (near Chuncheon ), on October 9th, 1989. He was leader of a
"Righteous Army" against Japanese Colonialists at the start of the 1900s;
Uiam Dam and Uiam Lake of Chuncheon City are named after him.
