The mighty 1313-m summit of Sudo-san ["Practicing the Way" Mountain] is 24 km SW of downtown Gimcheon City (of NW North Gyeongsang Province) -- 11 kilometers east of the Baekdu-daegan mountain-system. It is highly-sacred to Buddhists, featuring two important temples founded by the great master Doseon-guksa in the late 800s.
