This excellent Sanshin-taenghwa [Mountain-Spirit Icon-painting] is a recent modern copy of the venerable one in the nearby Shinheung-sa Jungak-dan, including its folk-painting-classic "tiger glaring up at a magpie on a pine-branch" motif.

The outdoor shrine of "upthrusting" rocks is for all nature-spirits and earth-energy, but especially the Gyeryong-san Mountain-spirit(s).
